34 week appt.

No questions, just an update. Not a great appt. today. I met the newest midwife in the practice and I really liked her. But, my blood pressure was elevated and I had protein in my urine. She said those are both warning signs of pre-eclampsia. I also lost 2 lbs, which she didn't like. But, she did take me out of work. Yay!

Thanks ladies. I'm going back in 2 weeks but she wanted me to come in next week to check my BP. I told her I could do it at home so I just have to call her next week. After that I start weekly visits. After my shower, I'm planning on planting my bum on the couch for 6 weeks. LOL. My BP got high with my daughter but not until the 39th week so they just induced me right off.

Karen,

Thank for the update. My 34 week appt is next Wednesday so I'll let you know how it went.
Remember, your baby shower is coming up soon so just focus on having fun, even more now that you are off work, and post pictures!!! :-)

I am hoping your blood pressure does not continue to ramp up. Do they want to see you next week because of that or you're still seeing the midwife every two weeks?

Well I hope with you being home now you can get the blood pressure under control.  Please keep us posted.  But, yay for being off work.  Since I have been home for over a month I really cannot imagine working past 30 weeks pregnant I feel more uncomfortable by the day!

They just want to monitor me for now. It's not dangerously high, but it's been steadily going up and with the proteins, she seemed concerned. They didn't do an internal exam. I think they usually start that at 36 weeks.
