I started feeling my baby ball up near my belly button at 16 weeks and it was very apparent the baby was in the front of my uterus when I laid on my back because I felt a hard lump like an apple then it moved.  Now I've definitely felt every roll, tumble, kick, elbow... what have you!!  I can even feel it a little outside my belly but only when he/she kicks hard.  I find out tomorrow if I'm having a ballerina or a soccer player... hahahaha

Lizzyanna - Heather is right. If this is your first child, you wont feel anything in your 16 week. You might only start feeling at earliest 20 weeks and later at 22 weeks/23 weeks. For me this is my 3rd and I only felt very little flutters in my 17 week. and you got to really sit still. Then again some babies are not so active and have certain patterns so theymight be active at night but not during the day. BTW, if you cant keep your milk down due to the smell (which happened to me too), switch to calcium supplement. I would always throw up after drinking milk - the smell just revolted me. So my Ob put me on calcium supplement so I could at least keep calcium down. I take 600mg of Caltrate every day and he said thats sufficient enough.

Heather I didnt know you can get dopplers from Ebay and I tot I read someone got it on Amazon. Is there any particular brand that is cheap and yet good?

Don't be worried about the movements, if this is your first baby they are hard to tell the difference between gas and a movement...lol.  Also, I really didn't feel them until week 18 or if I did ... I couldn't tell the difference.  Feels like a gas bubble at first, but they start to get stronger every week.  I am just to the point at 20 weeks where I can feel them with my hand.  Also, check out ebay for home dopplers where you can listen to the heartbeat at home.  That has saved a lot of worry for me and they are very reasonable prices (about $50 but worth the piece of mind).

I've been feeling movement for 2-3 weeks now. I am 18w. The movements are becoming more apparent as the days go by.  I can feel him moving especially when he's on the outside of my uterus.. he likes sleeping in the little nooks that make me hurt, so I have to always push on him to get him to move. He likes laying transverse right above my public bone. That spot hurts sometimes.

The movements sometimes feel like something is crawling under your skin... I feel him move a few times a day... This is my 3rd baby. However, my last kid was almost 15 yrs ago, so it's all new to me.

I'm at 19.5 weeks now and this is my first baby, but at this point I definitely feel it moving multiple times every day. I'd say I'm feeling it once every 2-3 hours or so while I'm awake. The little one seems to like to poke me really low down - a doctor friend of mine suggested that maybe it is hitting my cervix? - and it's slightly painful when it pokes there, so I definitely notice! I'm excited for when my husband will be able to feel it, too!

I am 15 weeks 5 days and am feeling movements, I don't feel them all the time yet, but several times a week I feel definite movement. this is my 4th baby as well and I have actually been feeling them although not as strong for about 2 weeks. I know I did not feel them as early with my first one it was more around 17 or 18 weeks!
good luck!

I am 19 weeks and just this past week I have been feeling them every night when I lay in bed watching TV for about a half hour.  They are stronger than flutters now, and I only feel them then.  However, I do work all day and am very busy so they may be there I just don't give it as much attention and don't feel them.

I'm 16weeks, 5 days and I'm feeling the baby every day. Usually when I'm sitting still or trying to fall asleep. It's stronger than a flutter or a tickle now but this is my fourth and they say the more babies you have, the early you feel them.
