Fluid level dropped

Hi guys - just to give a quick update. Had my growth scan last week and they detected that though LO is doing okay - my fluid levels had dropped to a 8.5. My Ob said he would have preferred to see a higher level like 12. And asked me to drink 2 litres of water every day. He is keeping me on closer monitoring now as I had fluid issues with my 1st kid. So now I am drinking more than 2litres a day and that by next Monday the fluid levels would have gone up. I did ask why it happened considering 2 weeks ago fluid levels were perfect. He explanied that there are many factors for this - could be placenta, could be dehydration, lack of rest etc. Its very dynamic he says. In any case I am told to drink drink tons of water to bring my level back up. He said anything below 8 would be borderline. Gosh - one of my fears actually happened ie drop in amnio fluid. My 1s pg was the same - low amnio fluid and I had to deliver my 1st daughter at 27 weeks + 3 days. She was a preemie. I am crossing and praying real hard that I can get to 37 weeks now. Thats all I dare to hope for.

Hope everyone is doing well!

I hope your fluid level comes back up! atleast it is borderline and not completely low! I had low fluid level with my 2nd pregnancy and they were monitoring the baby, she decided to come at 36 weeks on her own and was fine, but they were going to induce me if she did'nt come soon and the water level did'nt go up! atleast your far enough now that if they had to delivier she would probably be ok, I know it's still much better if they make it til atleast 36 weeks (my first came at 28 weeks). just hang in there and hope your water level goes up adn everything is ok! Good luck!
