Update everyone

How are you all doing? I noticed there isn't much activity on this board now.

Life is hectic with a newborn. Even though they sleep so much still not enough time to get things done.

Kaelynn will be 6 weeks old tomorrow.  I've been pumping and bottle feeding because I couldn't get her to suck when I wouLd put her to the boob. I went to the chiropractor on Wednesday and she was being fussy like usual she was diagnosed colic. Well he adjusted her when I was done and it has been AMAZING. she is a different baby. No more fussing sleeping 8 hours strieght at night. She is now breastfeeding exclusively no bottles anymore. Which I think the bottle was causing the gas problems because she no longer burps as much either.

Now if I could just get rid of the congestion she has.

How is everyone elses LO's doing?

Yeah, the wellbutrin does seem to be helping, although there are still days that are'nt as good as others!, but for the most part it's getting better! I think we are all starting to adjust and that helps too. I think if i lived closer to my family and my husbands family (I'm to my in-laws) that it would be better, we live in the same state, but it's about a 4 hour drive and we have to go over a mountain pass, so we only go over a few times a year.

I'm sorry to hear about the PPD. I haven't had it this time, but I did with my other 3. Is the increased wellbutrin helping? I'm on zoloft and it's been wonderful. Sounds like baby is getting big. LOL @ "over-loving". I like that phrase. My 8 year old did a little of that at first but he's good with Liam now.

Hey,
I hav'nt been on in a while things have gotten kind of hectic for me since school started , I have 1 in 1st grade, 2 in preschool and the baby! everything is going pretty good, except for being busy! the rest of the kid's are adjusting well to having the new baby around, the main thing i still have to watch for is "over loving" when they giver to many kisses or lay on her to hug her! she lost a little weight at first, but is gaining good now and had already grown 1 1/2 inches at her 1 month check up and another 1 1/2 inches at her 2 month, so 3 inches since she was born! i lost all my baby weight (since I only gained 15 pounds), but was already overweight to begin with and have not contiued to lose (or gain) since losing the baby weight. I am experiening post-partum depression (I have had before with other pregnancies) and they have upped my wellbutrin, which I am on for depression and ADD and it's safe to take while breastfeeding. this is getting kinda long, but I hav'nt been on in a while. Thanks and good to see some of you still come on from time-to-time!

Hi Everyone,
Franky is doing great he is 12 weeks old today and boy do I have my hands full.  He is weighing in at 15lbs and is 23 inches tall I just put up a couple of new pics of him.  He started rolling over a couple of weeks ago sort of by accident, but has now discovered he can do this multiple times in a row to get around.  I can't leave him alone to use the restroom on the floor or I come back in and he is accross the room...lol.  Also, he holds he neck up when he is on his tummy and scoots.  I have a feeling he is going to be crawling soon... god help me =) He has also started laughing when he hears my husband and I laugh to try to be part of the conversation which is adorable.  He has been sleeping through the night from 9pm to 6am for the past month.  I started putting him in his crib this week, and it is throwing him off he is waking up in the middle of the night for hours.  I plan on moving into his room until he sleeps through the night in his own bed.  I hope that will help him feel more comfortable in there.
We have had our challanges with colic and constipation issues on formula.  He seems to be outgrowing this some, but we still have a bad day every few days.  He also gets congested and I use Little Noses too.  I use the suction bulb the hospital gave me it is really big and really gets the snot out better than that little one that comes with the Little Noses kit.  They have them at Babies R Us for under $5 just do a search for hospital grade aspirator =)

I've been using little noses drops and suctioning. I think I'm going to get an electric nasal aspirator. I've read a lot of reviews and seems like they work great at getting more mucus out.

Kaelynn is smiling and cooing really alert now.

My baby has the congestion proplems too. What did your doctor say you should do. My doctor just said do the suction thing and it'll go away.

I was just thinking that this was a dead board when I saw your post. I didn't know they do adjustments on newborns. Pretty cool. I think I need to see a chiropractor for myself. I have had back and leg pain daily since Liam's birth. My pediatrician reccomended "Little noses" nasal drops or spray for Liam when he was congested.

Liam is doing really well. He's 6.5 weeks and weighs almost 12 lbs. He's breastfeeding but I do pump and give it to him in a bottle when we go out and when I need some sleep. No nipple confusion thank goodness. He's just started smiling and really paying attention to people. He's not a great sleeper, he still gets up twice during the night but he goes back to sleep much easier now and eats less while he's up.
