What are you guys doing to pass the time quickly?

I know we are all excited about having our LOs - and cant wait for LO to get here so what are you doing to pass the time quickly? I am happy that I will be having a C-section (as per my first 2 pgs were also C-sections) so I don have to wait till 40 weeks. I am now counting down to 38 weeks instead. I have another 12 weeks to go and I am trying to find ways and means to let the time go past fast and it doesnt help that I am working as a secretary and my boss is independent and the only things he wants me to do are too easy or I hate them eg. takign minutes in long boring meetings which seems forever!!!!

In the meantime I try to get thru the work day by surfing the net (after finishing my work of course) and helping out other dept's in their work then I sleep early so the next day would come faster! I am wondering what other things can I do to let the time go by fast besides sleeping early and playing with my kids. Any ideas?

It sounds like we're all at such different places on this one. I feel like I have so many things that I really want to get done before the baby gets here that there's no way I can actually do them all! My work is super-busy and we're about to begin (we had hoped to be done by now, but that's another long story) a pretty major home renovation project. Plus, my husband is graduating from grad school in June and our good friends are getting married and we're in the middle of hiring a new employee and we need to find time to interview a few doulas to see if we can find one we like... Anyone with time on their hands want to come help??? :)

I have absolutely no life. I'm a SAHM to a 2, 3, and 4 yr old. They are what pass my time. Everyday is the same and it feels like I have and will be pregnant forever. I'm so ready for August to get here.

Brittny, I cant believe it - you are making your own hairbands and Ring Sling. You definitely have to post pics for us to see. I am so bad at "making" stuff. No wonder I failed arts and craft badly - LOL!

Wow you guys have all your days packed compared to me. Well I just have to figure out of something to do to while the time and jschoch8, don worry I will cherish every day of this pregnancy but I still wish August would be here soon because I cant wait to hold my LO :O)

I can't believe I'm already 24wks! It seemed like the time went by so slow but now that the warm weather is here and I'm able to do more stuff outside time is flying by.

I have started shopping on ebay for scrapbook stuff so that I have it all ready to put together when I take the many many pictures I plan on.  I've also got a few photo albums I need to work on now.

I also have been shopping for silk flowers, crocheted headbands and all the stuff to make headbands for my little girl. I'm so excited!! I can't wait for the items to arrive so I can start making them.  Every time I see a little baby girl with those headbands with big beautiful flowers on there head it melts my heart. There just so adorable!!  I plan on making them and selling them on Ebay and Etsy also.

I also just borrowed my SIL's sewing machine to make my own Ring Sling. I am going shopping for fabric tomorrow! I'm making two of them.  One of BF's students mom embroiders so I'm having her embroider the Konji for Peace and Harmony with a Lilly on the tail of one of the slings. I will post pics once it's done will be a few weeks.

I have 6 weeks till baby shower and I can't wait! That is what I'm most looking forward to because once it's over then it's SHOPPING time. My BF is not letting me shop till after the shower.

I am staying home with my kid's right now, but since I have a 6 year old (in kindergarten) a 4 year old (in pre-school), and a 2 year old (I do pre-school at home with) between getting the older two to and from school and potty training my 2 year old I'm pretty busy, throw in cleaning the house babysitting for a friend a few times a week and all the organizing and preparing for the baby, i have too much to do and i want to get to some of my photo almbums too! during the summer it may slow down a little, but with them all home all day and all the summer activities, i get tired just thinking about it! the days fly by, but sometimes the months seem to take a while! it's going by fast and taking it's time!

I am keeping myself busy with projects.  I've started getting the nursery ready.  and my other project is getting all of my phot albums organized on my computer, and prininting and organizing real photo albums.  So far that's enough projects for now, but I know I will have to think of more to pass the next 11 weeks. :)

i know how you feel, I wish i could have my baby too

maybe instead of counting down the days until birth, think about the milestones that are happening each week.

just be careful not to wish youre days away, and to enjoy every moment :)

I feel that time is going very fast for me.  I am really busy at work, and my free time is spent with family, friends, running errands, or just trying to take advantage of a little relaxation. Some days feel like they drag on, but overall it seems the weeks fly by and I can't believe I am 7 months pregnant already.  I am going on maternity leave early in 3 weeks, so I am sure it will slow down for me then and my last month or so pregnant will drag on.  But, I am trying to save all organizing and getting the nusery ready for that time.

My son is 18months old so running after him all day keeps me busy. I am excited to meet Saoirse but the idea of having 2 young children is a bit overwhelming.

Well, normally I work full time overnight, but I'm a CNA and constantly walking, lifting and bending so I had to cut my hours. I'll be going back to full time after maternity leave is over.

I can't wait to give birth to my boy already. And time isn't passing by fast enough for me either no matter how busy I am at work. It is AWFUL!

Wow - I would love to just work weekends though I am sure the time would pass slower even then for me. The idea of working weekends would still make me happy cos then I get to rest my swelling feet and lie in bed when I am exhuasted during the pms!

I'm just working weekends now so I'm very bored while the kids are in school. This is the first summer vacation I've looked forward to in years. LOL. Just so I can have company. I'm due Aug. 20 but I'm trying not to think of it as my due date because I know I'll be terribly disappointed if I go over. I'm trying to think of my birthday instead (Aug. 28). And every little event between now and then.
