i would be happy to let u win... it took forever to get rid of all that weight with my son (70lbs)!!! but i will keep u informed.. its going to be a close competition!!
i get the same treatment... i have been stared at and been asked several times if im sure its not twins!! even the drs at my work tell me im getting huge, ppl are just rude and they need to keep their comments to themselves!!
It was actually the RN at the WIC office but I thought that was a terrible thing to say to a pregnant woman. I was very offended. I gained 50-60 lbs. with each baby and they were all big, healthy babies.
As of today I have gained 39lbs and I am now 26w+2 days. with my second kid - I had gained 60lbs by 37 weeks when I delivered her. So now I am going to be your competition in this ;o0. At the rate I am going I may have you beat instead hahahaha
That is very rude! I think the only time anyone at a Dr office should comment on weight gain during pregnancy is if the Dr thinks it's significant enough to cause problems and then it should be done in a kind way and just to let you know there maybe a medical reason to be more careful! a lot of pregannt women these days gain significantly more weight than women 50 years ago and most of the babies are healthy comparatively! Although I am on the other side of the spectrum I always get to hear about how i am not gaining enough weight, and people think that maybe i am perposely not gaining enough! even though my babies grow just fine and have not been under weight (except my first one and that was because he was born at 28 weeks, he was actually big for how early he was!) As long as you think your fine don't listen to her, it's not her business how much weight you do or do not gain!
I just got weighed today. I'm up 30 lbs and I'm 25wks, 4days.
A very rude nurse asked me my due date and when I told her, she asked it was twins! I told her no, I just have large babies (10 lbs) and she said "Not down below I hope". Can you believe that?
I have gained 11lbs and am almost 27 weeks. I was 98 and now I am 109lb
I'VE GAINED ONLY 3 PDS, BUT SEE I'AM FULL FIGURED ANYWAY, SO DON'T NEED TO REALLY GAIN, YESSS LOL!! I'M 28 WKS.
whats with the :( im sure u still look great...
im 22 weeks and ive gained 25 lbs :(:(
lol.. I think its ganna be a close race but i might have u beat!! i gained 70 lbs with my son and im already over 30 with 14 weeks left!!! im gana be a heffer!
I had my appt yesterday and I have now gained a total of 10lbs. The doctor says that it is ok because my little girl is growing just fine.
Ok, I just got back from my 24 wk. appt. and I'm up to 19 lbs. BUT, I actually gained 10 lbs. before I had my first appt. so I'm REALLY at 29 lbs.
I am 24 wks + 2 days and I have gained 35lbs. I am probably the heavyweight champion on this board. LOL!
I'm at 26.5 weeks and I've gained about 15 or 16 pounds. I feel good about it because it seems like enough weight that doctors aren't worried, but the only part of my body shape that has really changed is my belly (which really isn't overly big yet, but feels enormous to me!). But like rebekah385 says, everyone is different and we're gaining for a good reason!
I was really sick in the beggining with this pregnancy and actually lost 23 pounds (I was overweight before I got pregnant) and so far i have only gained back 2 pounds, so I am still 21lbs less than when I got pregnant! this is my 4th baby and I have lost some weight during pregnancy with all of them, but it evens out I usually gain a few pounds after the baby comes. my baby is growing just fine and is exactly where it should be, so i don't worry about gaining weight too much, just try and make sure I'm eatting healthy for the baby. I'm actually hoping even though I want to be gaining slowly for the baby at this point, that i don't gain more than I lost during this pregnancy. Good luck to every one and remember weight gain is different for every pregnant women and everyone carries it differently and we are all gaining for a good reason!
ok make that 27 weeks but it still dosnt change my feeling to big!
i have gained like 30 and im only 26 weeks, i cant stand being so big...
my dr dosnt seem to be worried at all so i guess i shouldnt but 30lbs just seems like an awful lot to have gained already!!
I have gained 20pds and im 25 weeks!
At 12wks I hadn't gained any weight but by my 19wk appt I had gained 10lbs. I don't weigh myself at home so I have no idea if I have gained anymore weight till I go back to Dr at 23wks.
I try to eat healthy lots of fruit and veggies for snacks.
16 lbs in 23 weeks! That's a lot less than I gained with my others.
Oh my god do I feel like a big blown up balloon. It's horrible. I am 11 weeks right now. Don't get me wrong I am so happy to be pregnant but man do I feel huge. And now I can't stop eating. I think so far I have gained like 6lbs. Maybe even a little more now. My pants are starting to get tight. I just can't wait until my bump looks more like a baby bump than just looking like I gained a few pounds. Congrat on your pregnancy.
I also feel like I'm gaining too much weight. But my doctor does not see concerned about it. She says I'm growing at a normal rate. At 138 lbs I just feel so, so big. I cannot imagine getting bigger LOL
I feel like I am gaining too much weight, but I think my weight gain at the normal range? I weighed 125 and have gained 16 pounds so far... I am 26 weeks.
