Fetal Doppler's are great, but as said above, if you can't find the heartbeat, it can cause anxiety.  My Nugget moves a lot, so often I get the heartbeat for about 10 seconds then s/he moves and I lose it.  But I feel the movement, so that eases my mind a bit.  Just have to be patient.

Careful with the home doppler. I have one and it will FREAK you out when all of the sudden you cant find the heartbeat. Happened to me yesterday and the day before. I was so distraught. Of course I finally found it again today. Dont let it upset or stress you out b/c it will.
