your scale vs doctors scale...

Anyone else weigh themselves at home and get a completely different number when you step on the scale at the doctors office.. Ahh it bothers me. Past pregnancys I have gained 40lbs and I'm trying to control how much I gain this time around. pre pregnancy I was 150 (according to MY scale). I weigh myself on a daily basis and have been at 152 for awhile (ill be 15 weeks tomorrow). Well I went to the doctors and stepped on their digital scale and got 158. I don't know which scale to go off of.. Someone tell me I'm not alone..

I know the scales are going to weigh different especially because I weigh myself first thing in the morning after I go potty and naked.  I am clothed, have eaten breakfast, and drink a lot so I can pee in the cup.

Yeah, and later during the day, so very possible that explains it. I still use my own numbers, exactly because i weigh always in the morning and in underwear, so it works better to keep track of weight gain (or loss atm in my case)

Yes at the doctors I have jeans on and a light sweatshirt. I just didn't think that would add up to 7-8 pounds. But I will keep going off of my scale at home. I'm 152ish now and would like to stay below 180

Liske, it must be the clothes. I weigh myself at home before every appointment and I always weight 3 lbs. or more at the doctor's office. But when I weigh at home I am not completely dressed.

No, the scale I use at home is always on par with the one at the doctors office. Do you have more clothes/shoes on when standing on the one at the doctors?

I weigh myself weekly (because i'm overweight and don't want to gain to much), and when i get to my gynaecologist he weighs me too, and there i always weigh more (1 kilo+). He said it's normal. I just pay no attention to what the doctor weighs me and just use my own numbers to keep track.

I felt the same. It is about 3-4 pounds difference between my scale and doctor's scale.
