It does take a while. Give a few weeks. When I was about the same amount of weeks I grew worried myself, but I knew that he would start sooner or later, and he surely did! Don't worry....he/she will start moving soon.
I wouldn't be worring yet. It really depends on a lot of things: your size, the baby could be facing behind you, which means he/she will be doing all his kicking in the back of you and you really can't feel that yet, or if you have an interior placenta then he/she could be kicking the placenta and the placenta acts as a cushion and you really can't feel nothing. I would wait a few more weeks before you get too concerned.
You could also try drinking some orange juice and a few cookies and lay on your left side for about an hour and see if you can feel anything.
Good luck and keep us posted.
Im 29 weeks pregnant with my first and have only been feeling movement for about a month and 2 weeks. Sometimes it depends on your body type too.. if youre small you may be able to feel movement sooner then someone who is bigger.. my friend started feeling movement very early and she is very small (90 some lbs before pregnant) and i was about 119 lbs before i was pregant.. so its different for everyone but i dont think you have anything to be worried about
I'm almost 21 weeks and started feeling him about 2 weeks ago (it's my first), but I think it's b/c I had been paying such close attention to it....To me it feels like a nerve twitching....like when you get one in your eye.......I'm sure that if you pay very close attention (which is hard to do throughout the day sometimes), you'll feel him/her.
Is this your first baby??? Im having my first and I didnt think I felt anything either until I realized that the "gassy" feeling I had was the baby moving!!! I had to have the nurse explain it to me!LOL
Alot of girls tell me on their 2nd baby they feel movement sooner because they know what it is.
