Thanks all for the great advice. I actually think that I felt the baby move today. I was laying down and I had my hand on my lower stomach and i felt a small little bump on my hand. Just the slightest, tiniest thing but I am positive that it wasn't gas! So I have had a reassuring day. Thanks everyone. I will keep everyone posted!
Ive never had back surgery before, but i had my ovary and fallopian tube taken out a year ago and i have a scar that goes from hip bone to hip bone, im 19 weeks pregnant now and there are times that it burns and feels weird, they have said the same thing to me about the stretching and the fact that scar tissue takes forever to grow back. I too feel like sometimes my scar will just rip open and out comes baby!!!! So i understand what your feeling in that sense.
Im sorry you in so much pain. Again i havent had back surgery but my back is all messed up so i have really bad back pain as well, im sure not as much as you though, so i dont really know how your feeling completely here.
Good luck with everything though!
As far as frequent urination goes, I'm 20 weeks today and still feel the constant urge. And when I go, it's a trickle...feels almost like my ureter is swollen and the pee won't come out......All night long too....at least 3x/ night.....
As far as the back problems go.....Unless the specialist can do something for you (possible injections, etc), you may have be on light duty or partial bedrest.......I'm not sure how long the Vicodin is OK to take during pregnancy......I'm sure you've covered that already though.
The baby is probably moving but you may just not be aware of it....People say that it feels like flutters or gas....I explain it more like a nerve twitching (like when you get an annoying twitch in your eye)......Just pay close attention for a whole day and I'm sure you'll notice!
I have the same thought as the comments above. But i also am into my 2nd tri and the urge to pee all the time has not lest me yet. In fact this is my third pregnancy and i never had any let up with the peeing with any on them. I think it is the way you carry. I am very low so the baby is always pushing and kicking on my bladder. Yes i can feel my baby quite strong but remember this is my third pregnancy and you feel it soon each time. I also have my placenter on the back of my uterus which means not much padding at the front and a lot more feeling felt. As for your pain in the front - yes stetching of ligiments (especially in the first pregnancy) cam be quite painful and feel almost like a stitch or period cramps. As for your back i am really sorry about all the pain,a ll i can suggest is going to see a physio or something to help you with some exercises that may help or support garments that may help with weight support.
Sounds like you are having it rough.
I can't help with some of your questions... but for a first baby, you are more likely to feel him/her move around 21 weeks. And as for your scar popping open, you are bound to fear it (we have some pretty weird thoughts during pregnancy) but unless to have your back surgery they had to cut through your uterus too, there is no way your baby is going to fall out. And your doc should keep an eye on your scar anyway.
