Blood Clots and pregnancy

Im about 8 weeks pregnant and ive been discharging a brownish color for awhile then it stops every now and then. and ive been having cramps but i just went to the bathroom and passed a clot and the pain of my cramp clamed down some. i have a appointment with my obg of the 31st but im kinda scared about the pains and clot it was only one but it still scares me this being my first pregnancy.
