that's how mine is too :) & she likes to hang out down low, pretty much everytime I feel my little girl move it's below my belly button :) It sure is fun to feel the baby moving though! :)

My tummy is usually smaller in the morning and then with every meal it gets bigger!  LOL  Depending on what I eat at dinner it could look deceivingly huge for 20 weeks - like just the other day, I had Pho, which is Vietnamese noodle soup, consisting of a lot of water, of course, being soup and all, so I looked a lot bigger than usual.  But, yeah, typically I am a lot bigger overall in the evenings.  I call it my "dinner belly" - lol

Oh, and at this point, the uterus should be about even w/ belly button, so yeah, you'll only feel the baby below the belly button.  I feel mine sometimes real close to belly button and other times a lot lower.  Since he's only the size of a banana this week, he has space to move all around in there.

This is my first too, but to me it sounds like you are doing just fine! :-)

i would say in the morning ya could look small since you have a empty tummy and probley not bloated but as the day progresses you retain water, get bloated from eating and it can make the size varie, as for movement it should be below belly button still and that depends on where exactly you are carrying the little one wether it is high or lower, gatta remember the little one is about 6 1/2in from head to rump and probley in the 9oz area. so it's still very tiny. god luck but it sounds like your ganna be just fine and in the upcoming trimester you will bloom.
