Nothing, I can't find anything that works!! I usually throw up a few times in the morning, stay nauseaus all day and then throw up somemore at night!! I did get by one day without being sick!! But was worried all day long that something was wrong lol!!! I just hope that when I hit the 2nd trimester it'll ease on up!!! Good luck, Hope this morning sickness just means really healthy babies!!
Yes, have it all day. I am up in the middle of the night wondering if I am going to throw up. I'm up to throwing up about 3-4 times a day now. It's horrible!!! Things that worked for me - gum and breathing. That at least will prolong my time before I throw up, not by much, but still I figure I am trying to keep something down. I've lost 5 pounds in the last few weeks, so I'm sure the doctor will suggest medication when I see her. The meds they put me on last time is called Zofran. It works ok for the most part - at least it kept me out of the hospital, so it might be worth asking for. Otherwise I just carry around plactic bags when I am driving and litterally can't find a place to pull over and a tooth brush. It's amazing, this is my third time, and I really, really don't remember it being THIS bad. I knew it was bad, but this horrible. I should because I ended up in the ER with DD with a tear in my esaphogus, so I should, but something out that little bundle makes you forget all this. I hope this passes fast, and I keep telling myself this is the last time, enjoy it, but its hard to enjoy when your hanging on to the toilet all day! I hope you ladies get some relief soon too!
I'm getting pretty bad nausea but I'm learning what foods to avoid. Today I ate pierogies and pineapple, lol. Its a big improvement from only being able to eat bread but I'm out of pierogies.
Oh my, It has hit me like never before. The later in the day it is the worse it gets. Even the thought of food makes me sick. I have not thrown up yet but instead I always feel like it could happen any minute. Arrg....
I tried the peppermint tea, it is a bit overpowering for me. now I have a whole box of if! haha. Peppermint lifesavers seem to help a little. Ice cream seems to help me short term too! =) I will have to ask the RE about B-6.
Thanks everyone for the suggestions!
Try some organic peppermint tea. Its great for nausea and for headaches. Something in the mint leaves soothes the stomach. It has always helped me with headaches also. Im not a huge fan of peppermint...but it actually doesnt taste bad. Its really light and not extremely minty :)
When you feel the nausea coming, try sucking on a slice of lemon. I read it and tried it out....and it worked so i went out and bought a few lemons and some frozen lemonade ice cups.
B-6 like angelbaby said is what my RE recommended.
I hope one of these things work for you. They are all very inexpensive to try, so id just get all 3 and see what works !
My dr told me low dose b-6. like 15-25 mg three times a day.
I bought the bioband. I don't know if maybe it was in the wrong spot but it didn't work! I had it on all day! I found that ice cream really helps!! =) Lucky for me and my babies!! Not so lucky for my weight. haha. Also today I had a smoothie at lunch, then peppermint lifesavers, I didn't have any nausea all afternoon.
B-6 is supposed to help as well as the nausea bracelet, go to - maddoxoncology.com/biobands-antinausea-bracelet-p-69.html, my doctor swears they work!
i have to eat every few hours and it helps quite a bit. Also, make sure you eat protein when you eat instead of just the carbs most of us are craving. a little peanut butter on the bagel helps increase to protein and that seems to help with my nausea.
I was just about to post something about this. My nausea is horrible and nothing really helps. I was thinking about asking my dr if she can give me something. I can't take this. Im tired and sick all the time and I can't get any work done. Ugh
I get outside if it is nice enough. The fresh air really helps me.
