well Ava is here!

I have not been on here lately cause it has been a crazy few weeks!  On 11/17 I started getting bad contractions and I went to see my doctor and I was thining but not dialated. They wanted to check me for a bladder infection. On the 18th the contractions were just as bad so I went back to the doctor and my test came back negative for a UTI but showed dehydration so they sent me to the hospital to get hydrated and to monitor the baby for about an hour. While we were there my water broke!!  Ava made her appearance at 5:37am on the 19!  We took her home on Sunday but had to take her back to the hospital on Tuesday for high jaundice levels and dehydration. We were finally released on Friday and Ava was given a clean bill of health yesterday at her doctor appointment!

Congratulations!  Sorry to hear about the jaundice.  My DD (born 2006) had a bad case of it, but they made me do the bili bed by myself at home.  Kinda wished they had me go back into the hospital... I was a nervous wreck!  She was soooo hot in there I though for sure it was roasting her teeny brain :o( lol.  They would only let me take her out for feedings (even then I had to hold this giant paddle with the lights on it to her bare skin.)  She even had to sleep in the bili bed (I was sure the neighbors thought our home was under alien invasion, the lights were so freaking bright ;o)  But, we got through it, scary as it was.  Glad you're both doing well!
