I'm 19 and expecting my first. What are your last words of advice entering into motherhood? I'd love to hear all opinions :)

Congrats!  Bringing a baby into the world can be overwhelming but try not to stress as baby will feel the tension as well.  You will have alot of people giving you advise on what you should be doing during your pregnancy and how you should raise your child.  You are the mother!  Other than  guidance here and there be sure you make the decisions for how you will raise your child.  Be sure you are prepared before baby comes.  Are you going to breastfeed or formula feed?  If formula feed, stock up on bottles.  Are you going to use cloth diapers or disposables?  Are you going to co-sleep or is baby going to be in the crib right away?  Do you have pets?  If so, how are they around children.  If you have a cat, does it sleep in your room?  If so....perhaps if you are planning on co-sleeping start your cat on a new bedtime routine now.  Buy her a bed and put her in a different room.  Oh and rest up!  Be sure you are resting as much as possible before baby arrives as well as when baby is born.  He/she sleeps you sleep.  Helps you maintain your sanity a bit better especially with those sleepless nights.  Have a happy, healthy 9 months!

Congrats on your new bundle of joy. My words of wisdom to a first time mom is don't get frustrated, stressed out or over excited after bringing your bundle of joy home. Take all the help you can get atleast until you have your baby on a sche dule. Yes a schedule. The sooner you can get them into a routine the better off you will be. Such as feedings, bathing, naps, and bedtime. If you choose to breastfeed Great for you. It may be hard at first but some babies are naturals just don't get too worried or distraught if it takes a couple days as it might. Again ask for help before giving up. I have 3 children and another due in Dec. also and this will be my last. I have breastfed all my babies and wouldn't trade that bonding for anything in the world. If you are nursing your baby and it hurts the baby is latched wrong and you need to adjust so you don't get sore. Breastfeeding does not hurt. My children are going to be 6,4,2, and newborn. Other than asking for help when you need it and getting your baby on a schedule that remains consistant just have a blast taking care of your baby and loving it. Try not to get stressed or you will make the baby stressed and you will produce less milk. Congrats again! Have a happy, healthy and safe delivery.
