Contractions or no?

I'm a first time mommy.. I'm 38 weeks and I'm having horrible pains in my sides and back .. Almost feel like I have to go to the bathroom really bad.. Is that just the uncomfortable of the pregnancy or could these be contractions? I have had contractions and braxton hicks but they all feel so different.

Yes my stomach tightens with the pain every time I have them .. I go to the doctor tomorrow so I guess we will see if I'm dilated then. I'll def tell about all my pains. Thanks everyone!


I'm not sure about the leg pain.. My right lower back hurts a lot and my doctor said it was sciatic nerve pain from how the baby is laying. I would def say something to your doctor today!

Yes, especially since you have the back pain. Keep an eye on it, time them. Does your stomach harden at all during the times you feel pain or pressure?
