contractions stopping?

In about an hour it will officially be my due date with my first baby. Today starting around 5 started having contractions about 20 minutes apart and they kept going like that until 9:30 and then I waited to see if another one would come around 10 and NOTHING. It's now 11 and I still haven't gotten anymore. I feel so disappointed. .. Has anyone else had labor start and just stop out of no where? And did it start back that day??

Yes. I just had my baby on the Dec. 2nd, w a similar set of circumstances. On Sun. I started having irregular but moderately intense contractions. Then throughout Monday my contractions almost waned completely. Then around 11 PM. They started up and I went to the hospital around 2 30 Am on Tuesday when the contractions were 5 min apart for 1 hour. Had him at 9 40 am Tuesday. Yeah your little one may very well be coming within a day or so.:).
