So I went for my appointment today and I'm 39+2, with ZERO dilation.  She said baby's head was nice and low and cervix is starting to soften but I'm still completely closed.  I'm so sad, I wanted him before Christmas but at this point it doesn't seem like that's going to be the case.  So much for the cute Christmas outfits this year!  And it would have been perfect for the family we don't see very often to have a chance to meet him.  So discouraged.  Plus he's already Huge, I go over my due date he's probably going to be 10+ lbs.

Well that sux! I don't see what the issue is, especially if you already have a big baby in there. Some docs are just picky I guess. Well I hope it just happens for you before Christmas then!

Nope they won't they didn't even check for dilation until today for the first time.  I mentioned getting induced and they kind of brushed me off.  I'll be 40 weeks Saturday which would still get me home for the holidays!

Have you by chance asked your doc to induce you before christmas? Or is that something you are even interested in? With being so close to 40 weeks your doc just might do it for you.
