Progesterone Supplements??

Hi everyone, I just got a BFP yesterday and had some questions about anyone who has had to take prometrium or progesterone supplements in the 1st trimester. I have had 2 miscarriages within a year and the last one being almost 12 weeks along in January '09 so the Dr. wants to start me on supplements. Is anyone taking them??

I have to get a shot every 3-4 days and I am 6 weeks. Did you get your levals done with bloodwork?

I am taking 400mg of prometrium nightly, started it when I was 5 weeks along.

I take suppositories 2x/day, apparently throughout the entire first trimester.

I am not on prog. suppl. this time but I also had a misscariage in Jan. 09 at about 11 weeks. I had to take the prog. suppositories with that pregnancy. I know a lot of people who have taken them. Good luck!

I don't go in for blood work until next Wednesday. Because I had 2 miscarriages within 6 months the dr.'s were concerned and thought as a precautionary method when I got pregnant again I should take it. I'm assuming I will start after my 1st appt.??
