baby heartbeat heard by doppler at my appt today.

I had my appt today and after a horrifying 5 minutes we found our "Gummy Bears" heartbeat. It was at 156 bpm.
What a relief it was to hear it, I was starting to panic.

Does that seem low though? I read others posts and they are alot higher.

I am gonna look up old wives tales to see what it points to, girl or boy, lol.
I have another ultrasound at 18 weeks and then we are going to find out for certain.

Oh and the doctor confirmed that there is only one, Phew!

How exciting!  From what I've read, a normal fetal heart rate is between 120 - 160 and that it spikes around 9-10 weeks then levels off.
