Bloody Show after Exam
I am 37.5 weeks pregnant and dilated at 3-4cm. After my exam today I noticed pink tinged mucus. Is this from my exam or bloody show. I have been having lots of mucusy discharge the past few days but not pink.
My doctor always told me that I'll have spotting after a exam. Never did though....but to go back if it got like "period" type bleeding....
But you do sound close and it could be either...maybe you've dilated more from the exam, who knows :) It's ALMOST OVER!! THANK GOD!!! :)

At my 36 week appointment I had an internal and a couple hours later I had pink tissue and mucous. I thought I was loosing part of my plug but when I went back to the doctors the next week she said it was because of the internal. I too have had a lot of discharge but it sounds to me like yours was also because of your exam. Sometimes when they go in there they stir things up, causing a lot more mucous to come out. You can always discuss it with your doctor, but the same exact thing happened to me!
