Is this normal?!?!?

I am 35 weeks with my first little girl and I have been having the WORST night sweats for the last 3 or 4 days. It is so bad that I am having to change my jammies atleast twice a night because I am soaked. Is this normal or is this something that I should be concerned about. I also have Grave's Disease/ hyperthyroidism and am no longer responding to my medication like I was. Could this be the reason maybe. I am concerned because nothing about my pregnancy has been routine or easy. I think i have had almost every complication that is possible thus far. lol Can someone please help shed some light on this for me.

hi,

it could well be thyroid related, particularly as you are not responding well to the meds now, and its just started. Your endo needs to know about this.

i am hypo (on replacement) not hyper and i have been getting night sweats in the last few months, but mild only....

hormone changes of pregnancy do many funny things, but what you are describing sounds excessive.

let us know how you go.

Its something you should mention to your Dr. your hormones are out of wack now. Personelly i have never experinced bad sweating while pregnant. Ask your Dr.

Good luck
