Leaking Nipples

So i know someone else was saying that her nipples were leaking and was wondering if it was too early. Well for the last week, mine have been too. i think its funny, i dont know why i think its funny, maybe thats my way of getting ready for that day. DH thinks its even funnier. that one explains itself. has anyone tasted it before? i want to but feel weird about it. i know its just the colostrum but it just seems odd to me. anyway, just wanted to see how many others are going through this right now as well and to see if it really is too early or if there is a such thing as too early. ill be 18 weeks on thursday. and i believe ive been really feeling the baby a lot more lately, almost feels like what you would think of looking in a fish tank, its amazing.....

I'm not leaking either...actually having a hard time sqeezing Colostrum out.  I was breastfeeding my twins right up until I found out I was pregnant and my milk dropped SO MUCH.  Now for the past month, I can't get anything.  

I've heard of so many people leaking.  I honestly never leaked with any pregnancy, but once my milk comes in after delivery, I'm like a cow.  Literally getting 8-12 oz per hour, off one breast~  LOL

hahaha, i made him try it last night and i think he really wanted to because any man that really thought the idea was gross would have agreed with me when i said sweet huh? but no, he says, i didnt really taste anything, so of course i told him we will wait till there is more so you can =) MEN!!! and there was a lot more last night then there has been so im waiting to have to go and change my shirt at any time!!

i want some boobie milk!!!!!!!!!!! maybe to get your man to try it you can just put a bit in his coffee or his cornflakes and if he doesnt notice then say "see i told you its not that bad" or is it a bit too watery for that? well he probably wont notice anyway x

You and me both! I hate how they just show the mom the baby and then take it away after c-section! I would bawl my eyes out! I really want to try to do it all natural too, cause strong meds always have a really severe effect on me ( makes me feel terrible and takes SO SO long to wear off, and the worst part is i am so sensitive to all medicine im usually wayyyy over-medicated)

YAY you did it! woo! haha i was totally freaked out to try it too though, i would start too, like get some on my finger and then i'd chicken out and wipe it off on something. It just seemed odd! Yea thats how i was at first too, if i squeezed it out there would be very little but as soon as i go and lay down i get a puddle! I was like what the hell! But now i can squeeze out quite a bit, which isn't the best news cause now when i leak I leak wayyy more! Gah! And it used to happen mostly at night but now I'll be out and feel it happening and be like grrr WHY!!!! Last night me and DH were watching tv and he goes, aww baby you leaked...I looked down and the spot was nearly the size of my palm! Its getting out of control, im buying some breast pads soon.

its all good, as long as im progressing, im fine with it and i know warm water makes it go away =) im not the smallest girl, my body type is un upside down triangle, i have wide shoulders and HUGE boobs the smallest hips and butt in the world!! im really afraid that my hips wont widen enough for vaginal and  i REALLY want a vaginal birth, natural as well, no meds. we will see!! but i REALLY want to try. im scared to have a c-section too!! i dont think im as scared to have it because of what it entails but the healing after wards and i dont want to wait for however long after the baby is born to hold em. and i agree as painful as it will be vaginally but to go through that and then end up cut open on a table would really suck!!

HAHAHA, your great!! i didnt wuss out, i tried it today, either youre normal or were both not. it was really sweet, from what i could taste, ill have to wait till there is a little more. when i squeeze it out, its not much, but when it leaks out, its a lot so....imma make him try it later!! i dont know why it seemed weird.

Aww, sorry to hear you're having pains but its all part of the process i guess. I'm very petite and i definitely have hips i just dont know if they're big enough to fit a baby through there so Id be okay with some aches here and there to tell me they're widening out a little. I'm also worried about birth, well i really want a vaginal birth, my worst nightmare (next to something happening to the baby of course) would be to try for hours on end to delivery vaginally and then need an emergency c-section. Its like the worst of both worlds!

Why doesnt hubby want to taste it? he thinks it'll taste bad or something? My dh doesn't mind it at all, i think he actually kinda likes the taste cause he asks to taste it sometimes. Get the courage to try just a little! I did and it wasnt bad at all, just sweet really, I want to know if thats normal so taste yours. Stop being a wuss!  lol : P

i hear ya both, and i know what you mean tfernandez about not working properly. i mean i tried for over 2 years naturally and had to have a dr finally do the job so i often worry about something not working right. i cant believe were almost half way through!! just since last week my back has been super painful, then yesterday my hip, i thought it was going to seperate from my body, i took a warm shower and put the warm water on it and it felt better!! i mean sheesh, your joints loosening doesnt sound like it would be painful but my goodness, it hurt!! which is totally ok since i do not have hips, i hope they get really big!! at least big enough that i can have a vaginal birth!!

as for the leaking, ill have to try it now. my husband doesnt want to but maybe if he sees me do it, he will, i mean either way, the baby will be drinking it so its obviously not too bad.

hope everything else is going great for everyone!! im still waiting to find out what it is.....i have 2 more weeks.....of misery waiting!!!!

LOL you made me laugh just now, probably because you sound like me! If i wasn't leaking i'd be saying I want to. I always feel scared I might not function properly for some reason, so I know i'd be freaking out saying OMG what if i dont make milk! Im so ridiculous because now that i am leaking so much and feel really confident i'll make enough milk for baby, I'm always complaining about what a mess it is and how its embarrassing and such a pain and i wish it would stop. BUT if it did stop i'd be like ahh whats wrong with me why did it stop?!?!?! lol!

if you're anything like me, when you do start leaking you'll be excited and happy for about a day. Ughh i get the biggest spots on all my shirts when i sleep especially. Sometimes it wakes me up cause i'll leak these rather large amounts and the wet spot will be soaked and bigger than my fist and have gone through my shirt onto my blankets and im like ughhhh! or if im sleeping on my back and leak the fan blows on  me and makes the wet spots so cold i wake up and have to change (sometimes several times a night).

I never thought pregnancy came with SO many little things like this...

i havent had anything yet im nearly 19 weeks and nothing theres like little white bits on the end of my nipples but i think they were there before and it just rubs of i used to pick them out but someone said not to, i dont know what it is but its not milk..... i want some i feel left out!

Hehe, it was me!!! I asked a couple weeks ago, and it's still happening to me. But it's got a LOT more abundant! And yes, Dh tasted it and said it tasted good (eew). for the first couple weeks i was too grossed out to try it, but i recently did and it was very sweet. So weird to me though... I think i'll be leaking more and more until i finally give birth and it has somewhere else to go. But i know i'll keep leaking then, i just hope not as much cause i'll be getting some relief.

I'm not leaking yet (19 weeks) but I don't think that it is too early. Colostrum doesn't taste like much of anything, but the actual white breast milk is sweet and kind of watery.

I am feeling so many movements now, I am beginning to be impatient for DH to feel them from the outside.
