low amniotic fluid

hey i am 6 weeks and 5 days pregnant and experienced spotting for about 5 days then went for a scan and there was a heartbeat but there was reduced/abnormal amounts of amniotic fluid...they booked me in for another scan for 2 weeks time however yesterday i started to bleed more heavily with clotting so i went back to the hospital ..now they have brought my scan day forward...i am really scared of having a miscarriage they said the chances were quite high...has anyone else experienced this? :-(
