Sun I am so glad to hear she is doing good and you are doing good.
Apparently these practice contractions are working because my cervix is opening slowly according to my doctor. It was open just a finger tip, but last week it was locked up tight so that fingertip is good news. Also my Ob would like to induce me the week of the 7th because he is being summoned to court in Miamii the week I am due and he promised he would deliver me and he seems verys incere in his desire to want to keep his promise. Got to love a good OB.

Hi Jenny!  I'm doing good trying to get on here the best I can cuz I miss you ladies lots!!  Ellie is doing wonderful!  She was discharged from NICU on Sunday, mon she had her first ped appt. They said she looked great. She had a weight check appt on Wed and had gained 4oz in 48 hours. Yay!  She still has trouble BF because she is a premie. They said that once she reaches her due date she should be better at it but until then it's too tiring and hard. So I BF for 5 min then I give her milk that I have pumped. She is great with the bottle. She also is fairly good at sleeping and doesn't cry much either. She has been an absolute joy. I find myself staring at her while she sleeps even though i should be sleeping too. Bottom line I LOVE being a mommy and I am in awe of my little blessing :)

I hope and pray that all of you hold out till week 37. Having a baby in the NICU was the most frightening and sad experience I've ever dealt with. Seeing your baby hooked up to breathing machines and wires everywhere, not being able to hold her or feed her was very difficult. I pray that none of you have to go through that.

Keep us posted!  I can't wait to hear how you all are progressing!  Homestretch ladies!!

I had what I thought were practice contractions for 3 days before my twins were born. I was just miserable & didn't realize my body was slowly going into labor!

Ugh those electric shocks are TERRIBLE. I feel like she is bouncing on a nerve or right on a sensitive part of my bladder.

the contractions are starting to come every day now...and a lot...somtimes its minutes apart then goes away for a couple hours then comes back. so my body is just trying to figure out whats going on like me!

baby will be full term in 1 week from this wednesday so i think i'll make it till at least then.

majikat- sounds like baby might be on the way! :) every 15 mintues and consistent? so he'll be full term this coming weekend?

I am getting the electric shocks in my downstairs, also feel like I am swollen and there is alot more blood flow down there. It is only really painful when the contractions push down my bladder, especially when it is full. Last night however, I was almost positive I was in labor. I had some somach issues apparently and those combined with BH was OMG!!!

Been having alot of menstrual like cramping.  Does this count?  Had Braxton Hicks with the first baby, but haven't been having them this time, except around 15 wks.  Don't know why the difference.  Never had cramping until after induction the first time.  Wouldn't have minded having it like that this time. :)

I get them for a few hours during the day but they are so far apart they are nothing to worry about.  I do remember with my second about a week before I had her every second day I would have false labour pains all night and then they would go away in the morning.  I had her at 38 weeks so from about 37 weeks I had those false labour contractions.

Do you feel a lot of pressure down there?  I knew I was getting close to having my daughter because of the false labour contractions and I feel shots of electricity up my hooohaaa but then everyone is different.
