We used Selsen Blue on Taylor and it was gone in two washes and we used vegetable oil on Maddie and it brushed right out. I like to experiment a bit if you can't tell ;)

For cradle cap I used it on all my kids....head and shoulders shampoo.  Two washes with it and it was gone.  When u wash with it use the little brush they give u from the hospital to really work it in.  No I didn't even ask my dr about it.  My grandma, mom, and now me have used it and no one died lol.

The baby oil and soft brush are working well for us...my little one probably got it at about two months and it has waxed and waned in terms of severity since then.  Our doctor originally told us to just let it run its course (he said treatment or no treatment it would go away on its own time), but since he still has it, he said we really should start gently scrubbing it off to prevent infection.

Ellie didn't have it until three months then it was crazy bad started calling it cradle cr@p instead of cradle cap it was so icky.

The gentle naturals cradle cap formula is working GREAT I use it at every bath now and after the first use it hasn't been nearly as bad. I also use a soft brissel toothbrush on her head daily massage in little circles

I've been lucky.. none here. Those of you trying to rid it, has the baby always had it or just started?

omg, my lil girl has so much of it. last time she fell asleep on my arms and i took so much of it off with my fingers and a lil comb... she has very lil of it now. when i bathe her i use a lot of shampoo and i comb it through her head. i will try the baby oil as soon as i have a chance.

a lady once told me that she used baking soda.... im sure it worked because baking soda works on anything and its also safe. but im too scared to try that on my lil girl. i have to research on it.

I tried gentle naturals from Walgreens. It's a cradle cap formula I put that on and used a soft brissel brush or extra soft head toothbrush in small circles over her entire head and it worked. It's not perfect but a million times better. I had tried Aveno shampoo it worked but only ok. This stuff worked GREAT!

Definitely let me know!  I actually have heard more frequent shampooing makes it worse...but we all know how everyone's doctor has a different opinion!

That's how I am with Sophia! It doesn't want to go away no matter what I do to her head :(
It looks bad, but her dr just told me to be patient that it will go away by itself. Which I find annoying because I want it gone now lol.
