Should be waddling

Went in for my appt at 35 1/2 wks.  Did the Strep test and checked for dilation.  What should I think when the Dr is shocked by how far down the baby is? He asked if I was having any problem walking and that's funny because I posted on here that I wasn't waddling or anything, but I guess I should be.  :)  I was kind of surprised because it doesn't really feel like its any farther down that it ever has been; and I told him that I'm used to it; its always been way low and I kept wondering if it wasn't supposed to have moved up a bit in the pregnancy, even though I'm sure its lower now than it was.  He said I was 1 1/2 to 2cm's dilated and 20% effaced.  I've been having menstrual like cramps every now and then.  Nothing regular though.  Makes a person wonder how much longer you have left.  I doubt I will make it to my due date of Feb 6 but who knows?  Anyone else know what their dilation and effacement is?

Went in for my appt again today.  Was about 2 1/2 cm dilated and 30% effaced now.  Have been having a lot of cramping but not really timeable contractions.  Dr wants me to go at least another half wk so I would be 37 wks or full term.  A person never knows, totally possible that I could go past my due date by a wk or two.  I hope not, though.  Strep test was negative.  The head is definitely engaged and has been for at least a wk that I know of, maybe a wk or so more than that possibly.

I will be getting checked on the 19th when I get my group B strep test!!!! I am very curious to know what I am at! I have been losing mine for 3 weeks now its gross but it means somethings happening :)

I think they will be checking me for dilation and all at my OB appt tomorrow. I'm curious :)

I suppose I'm a few weeks ahead of some of us; so probably wouldn't know their dilation and effacement yet.  Started losing mucus plug yesterday.  Last time it came out in one piece and I had to be induced the next day because my water had been leaking.  We'll see how long I last this time.  I bet you were wondering when the heck you were going to go being that dilated and effaced for that long.  Wowser.

after engagement takes place it is an average of 2-4 weeks till the baby is born.... my baby has been engages for 2 weeks and seems to be staying put lol.... also with my first son i was 1 cm and 50% for about 2 months and with my second I was 5 CM and 100% for a month (stalled labour lol)

nothing really ever means too much lol babies have a mind of their own and they love to play tricks on their mommy lol but I hope your baby stays put til 37 weeks for you :)
