Sorry if tmi but please help

Hey all

Ella is 4 weeks old and last night I passed another clot about the size of a plum.  I have started seeing red blood again after a couple of weeks of brown blood.  The bleeding is not heavy at all and not accompanied with cramping but then I didn't cramp when I miscarried at 14 weeks.  I am calling my doctor today to see if I can get an appointment.  This is the second fourth clot I have had since having Ella.  The first was the day after she was born and the last two were in the last 2 weeks.  Is this normal or should I be concerned???

Hey

Just wanted to let you all know that the ultrasound went well and was all clear.  I have a little scarring on my uterine wall but nothing to worry about.  My bleeding is very close to finishing which is good

Hi thanks for that.  The ultrasound went ok but I don't get my results until Monday.  Good thing is the bleeding has bascially stopped apart from light spotting here and there.  I am sure everything is going to be ok.

Let us know how your ultrasound goes!!  I bet it's from not enough rest. I noticed I would get bigger clots and more bleeding when I over did it which is consistent with what my OB had told me. Try and rest and hydrate as much as possible. Remember the 6 weeks post partum you are recovering from a major event.

Thanks for that roxy I'm sure it will the bleeding has gone back to brown and is very, very light.  I was almost going to cancel my appointment but thought I better not just incase I start bleeding again.  I think I am getting the blood clots from over working myself because I read somewhere that that can happen.  I just need to chill out and relax a bit more but then that is easier said than done with a newborn, 4 year old and 2 year old.  Things can only get better right?????

Hi thanks for the comments.  I was fortunate enough to see the doctor first thing in the morning.  She said that my tummy feels soft and I don't have a temperature so that is good.  I asked her if it was normal to have clots and she said no it is not normal so she gave me a scan to have an ultrasound which I have booked for Thursday at 240pm.

I told her I don't have any cramps and the bleeding isn't a lot and that I am only wearing panty liners which I change more regularly because of the bleeding.  The bleeding goes from red to kind of orange but my bleeding has never subsided.  With my other two pregnancies I stopped bleeding after two and a half weeks, sometimes it makes me wander if falling pregnant too fast after my miscarriage was too much for my body to handle????

I just don't really know what to think because I haven't had any heavy bleeding or cramps but then when I miscarried I didn't have any heavy bleeding or cramps until 3 hours before my waters broke and I had him.  I am hoping nothing shows up in the ultrasound, having that reassurance that everything is fine will be nice and if they do find something then they will make steps to fix it.  The doctor did say if I get heavy bleeding, a lot more clots or abdominal cramping to go to the hospital a.s.ap.

I was told a clot that big to page the dr or if I fill a pad in less than an hour. I would call your dr asap and ask what to do and find out what's going on. I'm sorry you are dealing with this and hope you are doing better soon
