Also corn could be the culprit as well as certain dyes in foods. Good luck.
Good luck. I hope the allergist is able to pin point what this is. Common allergens include: dairy, soy, wheat, berries, nuts, eggs, shellfish and pork. Maybe try avoiding all of these things and see if she's better. If so you can wait a few weeks then add each item back into her diet one at a time waiting two weeks between introducing a new food until you find the offending food. It may even be that she isn't allergic but highly sensitive. This would be something you can do at home. My daughter is allergic to soy, wheat, dairy, eggs and peanuts. Allergies tend to run in families. My family has a lot of food allergies so it would be more likely that Ellie would have several food allergies. But it isn't necessarily the same allergen. Anyway I hope that helps.
What does she drink in terms of milk? I know you said no cows milk.
she's been off normal milk since about 6 months if i remember correctly. sun i have her on a waiting list now but my doctor said it would take months. we're in the process of getting the money together to take her to an allergist now. will keep you updated
I would request allergy testing through blood and skin test. It sounds like there is an allergy triggering this. Please keep is posted on how the dr goes.
did they ever do an ultrasound to see if anything was going on? cause when Ezra was 4 months i think his was like blobs of jelly and thats a sign of intussusception. that didnt end up being the issue... they wanted him oln soy formula which i refused to after learning about the bad side effects... have you tried taking milk out of her diet? there are many different kinds of milks like almond and hemp, rice... i wouldnt suggest soy tho
To me it sounds like irritable bowel syndrome. I didn't realize but after reading about it, its common in children. You can have bouts of diahrea and bouts of constipation. From what I read its triggered by certain foods. For some people its fatty foods others its sugar. Some its carbonation or dairy even. I read that diet rich in whole grains fruits and veggies are good. Also add a probiotic and a zinc supplement. I think there's gotta be something that's triggering hers. It could be something simple. Keep a food diary and see what the common food may be. I found several good sites with info about ibs in children easy to find just google the subject. Also my friends little boy who's 9 has it and his is triggered by mozzarella cheese and chocolate. She figured his out by food diary. I hope this helps.
