i have had multiple opinions from many different drs about the vaccination issue and they all seem to agree with me because of my worry... i do plan on starting his needles next month... i just wanted to make sure he didnt have whooping cough  cause early treatment is obviously important...it is a simple nasal swab to test for it that would take seconds to do... and a hospital is not aloud to refuse my son of care... no dr has a right to talk to me like that no matter his point of view i am aware of others views and i respect them but unless you have walked in my shoes than you wont see it my way

my family dr is the head of the hospital he is the best dr in town and he is really supportive of my decision... my autistic son will never be able to live the life that he should have had the chance to live and i want to try my best  to make sure ezra does not have to deal with the same  struggles what i am doing is not selfish... all the drs at the toronto hospital were also very respectful and supportive...

i think his cough is going away now so i am not that worried any more but i was naturally paranoid because i know that he is at risk... i dont know where he would get something like that cause i do protect him and dont have him around people

I'm sorry to hear you were treated poorly. Remember everyone has a different perspective. Doctors get very frustrated when parents don't vaccinate their children and then come to them to fix a problem that could have been prevented. Not only because it's a lot of time and effort on their part but because that is time they are taking away from other patients and you bringing your child into see them has potentially exposed hundreds of other people to this as well.

The doctors has the ethical obligation to treat your child in the ER but many doctors outside of that won't even take on patients who are unvaccinated due to the risks and liability. I won't even let my daughter play with children that I know are unvaccinated because of the dangers.

So while you were treated very poorly try and think of it from the drs perspective too. Here's a mom worried their child might have something that could have been avoided with a shot and could have avoided exposing hundreds of people and so on.

I would talk to the hospital and let them know how you were treated. I would also get a second opinion because it seems this doctor wasn't really concerned about your concerns which isn't fair to your child.

Wth????? I would immediately call the head of the hospital and report the dr!!!!!   There is no reason for him to talk to u like that. Also You can have pneumonia with little or no fever so I would give him the meds.(what is the dose btw?) And why didn't he give him breathing treatments?  Everytime me or my son has had it we have always had breathing treatments.  Anyway sorry u had to deal with this, good luck.

so Ezra still has his cough and i have been freaking out because he is not vaccinated and i started to worry about whooping cough... i took him to the hospital yesterday at 4 am and the dr literally yelled at me for not giving him his vaccination and told me i needed my f...ing head straightend out and then he refused to test him for whooping cough... and then gave him a chest xray and then when the results came in he say im on the fence i dont know if your "kid" has pneumonia or not.... now i know that he does not have that my middle son gets it all the time and ezra does not have a fever not lethargic still drinking although he does not want to eat really... and then he prescribes him the largest dose of amoxicillian that i have ever seen!!!! and told me its my choice if i give it to my "kid"

Suppository would b best esp. If he throws up.  Is he running fever or seem like hes in pain? If not u may not want to give it.  Is he eating ok?  If not his throat may b hurting.  Good luck hope he feels better.
