My hubby wanted the Recaro one too!
I'm a safe n sound girl :) Love it!!!!! and couldn't go with anyone else.
Recaro Proride convertible. My husband liked it because he saw it at the BMW dealership. :) Apparently it's designed by the same people who make the safety seats for NASCAR...
Amy hated her infant car seat so we only used that for about 4 months then moved on to the safety 1st all in one convertible it goes from 5 to 85 lbs and is sooo much more comfortable than the infant and its sooo much easier for me to just take her out of this one and put her on the stroller or w/e than carrying the carseat
Many people use the carseat the last kid out grew, nothing wrong with that :). And Britax is a great brand
well i must be terrible cause my kids have always just used each carseat as the other outgrew them. I have one of those safe n sound royale one but it is a few years old. It is a convertible one so it can go from newborn to 2 years I think. With my daughter she is 2 and she has the safe n sound booster 5 point harness one and my son has the safe n sound booster seat with a clip to stop him from slipping down if that makes sense. I believe safe n sound is the same as britax but it is the only brand I trust over here :)
I've actually been looking into their next car seats & I really like the graco ones that go from 20-100 lbs (convertible ones). We're trying to hold off for at least a few more months because they still haven't reached the weight limit for their current car seats (chicco keyfit 30's), but holy cow are they heavy to lift in them!
Ellie is almost to the weight limit on her infant seat so we have just purchased the next size but not a convertible because they are nOt as safe for this age. We bought the safest according to safety and crash test rating, Evenflow Triumph 65 LX
ya mines a convertible one... i wasnt thinking of putting him forward facing yet but i bought my car seat a few months ago and a cant wait to use it lol its so pretty
We actually haven't even thought about it yet. Our ped advised that the girls will continue to use their infant carseat until they are atleast 1 years old AND 20 pounds (although some say it's either or). It's actually even better to keep them facing the rear up to 2 years in age as it provides greater safety to them in case of accident.
Is the one that you want a convertable carseat? I've heard those are great! One carseat lasts a few years :)
