28 weeks dr but belly measuring 32 weeks... Ultrasound tomorrow.

Hello ladies- I need help here. I went to the doctor today for my 28 weeks check up. She measured my belly and said I'm measuring 32 weeks. I had my baby shower yesterday so we're all set. I have an ultrasound tomorrow. I was told at the doctors office they just measure your belly... But at the ultrasound they will redo my measurements and measure our little girls head and measure her from head-to-toe!  I'm 5'3 and pre-pregnancy weight was 152. 2 weeks ago I weighed 173 and now today I'm 178... I find it crazy to gain 5 lbs. in two weeks. I am on a strict diet because I have PKU. I have to weigh and measure my food intake and drink medical protein shakes... So my diet hasn't changed and I keep a food diary. Has this happened to anyone before and the doctor tell you you're due a whole month sooner than first estimated and your due date is changed???  I'm so confused because several friends have said I look so much further along then 28 weeks. Please help and I will keep you all posted after tomorrow afternoons appointment! Thanks so much! :-)

Update: ultrasound measured our little Ella at 28 weeks 2 days. Although they're saying she's weighing 2lbs. 13oz. That's pretty big for only 28 weeks... I think I maybe a week or two ahead. I have another ultrasound on dec. 31st. I don't think they would be able to give me any updates at my 4D ultrasound on Dec. 9th but if they do I will defeneitly update everyone. She's head down too... So it's kind of weird to look so big... And gaining 5 pounds in 2 weeks. She looks good as far as the doctor said. She moves a lot and it always feels like body parts of hers are trying to poke out of me. Lol

Could be the way baby was sitting when the doctor measured. When my doctor measured me I was 4 weeks behind.. He got nervous and sent me for an ultrasound.. The results came back great and baby is measuring perfect, the tech mentioned several times how awkward baby is laying and how low the head it which is probably contributing why I look so small from the outside! So I wouldn't panic!! Best of luck though, I know it's scary.

No they didn't change my due date baby still measured on track.. Carrying the extra fluid can make you go into premature labor but they stop premature labor so it's not that big of a deal I'm more worried about having to carrying that extra weight around

So what happen? Did they change your due date? Are they saying you can go into labor sooner? I'm a bit confused. This is my first pregnancy.

Usually the dates aren't a month off there gonna measure a week or so ahead or behind but they usually get the best and most accurate due date during first sono!

You happen to me at my 24 week check up measured 30 weeks so they sent to for an ultrasound basically redid my anatomy scan had my dr apt right after doctor told me I'm carrying extra fluid which could cause premature labor extra weight signals body it's time when it actually isn't but he didn't seem to worried just scheduled me more sonograms to keep an eye on it! Just had my 28 week measuring 31 so it's slowing down a bit!! I'm sure you will be fine :D
