my fiance and I had a really hard time with a baby girls name... we had a boys name we really liked "Ryker" so we were constantly bouncing names back and forth we decided middle names would be my grandma's name who's birthday happens to be my due date :) and his great grandma's name.... when I found out my great aunts name I suggested it and we both loved it but it was such a long process lol
Me and daddy had a name picked out since I found out. Her name will be Emily Lynn, Lynn is my middle name and my mother's middle name so I figured I'd keep it going. Lol. Good luck to you! ♡ :)
I am 27 weeks pregnant ill be 7 months next friday. My husband and I are having a lil girl. At first we named her Faith Nicole but then my husbands mom passed and we chose to name our baby girl after her so we changed the name to Angel Nicole. Good luck in choosing names I hope everything works out and good luck to you
With our first daughter it took us about 7 months to agree on a name. And even then I felt like I was just settling, until I saw her, then I knew he was right (dammit lol) and the name was perfect. This time, almost immediately we had names decided on for either gender. And it was or daughter who ended up choosing the name for her future sister. It's just when you know, you know.
If your husband's grandmother was very special to him but you hate/dislike the name, you may want to try to compromise. Maybe use a derivative of her name, her middle name for your daughters middle name, the same initials, a name she liked, etc.
It's important to consider our partners feelings as well as our own (and vice versa). And like everything in married life, to compromise.
Ahah picking the name...as I said you think your marriage is strong until you have to pick a name :) I'm kiding but well, I didn't think it would be that hard to adjust to each other! We're having a boy here and my partner wants him to have his grandfather's name but I really don't like it and there is no way I name my baby with a name I don't like a 100%, it's for the rest of its life after all! Cheers we'll find a solution :)
