Oh btw I went and had acupuncture today and I felt totally relaxed after. Baby moved around almost the whole time and I felt contractions during. After I left my mom called and stressed me out so bad my relaxed state was gone :( but I'll go back tomorrow if I don't have baby in the night ;)
@jaloveslorelei hey! I really enjoy reading your posts, happy you responded! I'm not sure what Vernon...is but is that like lanugo? All I know about post date babies is that they shed all that white stuff off and their skin is super dry and flakey because of it. With my first, a hospital birth, we requested that they not give him a bath. We were in nicu for 7 days, so eventually we bathed him but we waited several days. I plan on birthing in water at home so I guess that will be his bath and just put coconut oil on after we dry off. I guess the only other not so common thing i plan to do is a partial lotus birth. Not the full 7-10 days, just 3-4 hours after birthing the placenta I'll keep it attached to baby. But still separate it in time to encapsulate it.
And is there anything unique your doing with your honebirth you can share, any tips? I'm at a birth center and there are things I'm unclear about like the Vernon caceous, the stuff on their skin that they suggest you leave on. Any input?
That's how I feel! I know it's not a big deal, I'm releived to be at a practice that doesn't push induction, yet I am so impatient. I was induced 3 weeks early with first and have never been this pregnant either yet am feeling ok. Today I am finally relaxed and at peace with it, I've had that spur to clean and am grateful to get some things done, 41 weeks tomorrow! Although, I'm looking at the 3 month going home outfit o packed her, then looking at my belly, which is like a bullet it's out so far... and im thinking it's not going to fit haha.
