contractions after a membrane sweep!?

7 nearly 8 days over due. My little man was due on the 18th of Feb! Had a membrane sweep at 8pm so im really hoping it will kick start labour,  especially it being my late nans bday tomorrow I would love to have him then!  I've had some light bleeding with bits of something in it when I've wiped (midwife mentioned this could happen) so hopefully this is a good sign that the sweep will be successful! No pains as of yet but it's still early! If not I get induced on Monday x can't wait to meet my little boy x just wondering for those who have had a successful sweep that has kick started there labour how long did it take for you to start getting pains!?

My sweep didn't start labor exactly but I believe it's why my water broke about a day and a half later. Did you midwife mention anything about baby being low enough for it to be effective? Just asking because mine has commented twice that mine wasn't pushing down enough to get a good sweep.
