Try not to eat sweet things for some days before the test. My glucose test was abnormal amd i was admitted in the hospital for 2days. Now am on diet so that when i go into my next app i do not have to stay at thr hospital again bc of high sugar level.

Don't eat sweets before your test. I ate about 10-15 grapes about 3 hours before my 1-hour test. That was only because I was scared to really eat anything and by that time I was STARVING!!!! Results: blood glucose was high. So, I had to fat that night and take the 3-hour test the following day. Thank God my results were normal!!!!

if your just doing the one hour there's nothing to do. you dont need to fast. if this first comes back and your levels aren't ideal they'll have you do the three hour glucose tolerance test and with that one you fast.

They will give you instructions to fast starting the night before.

It's not in your control (ultimately) if has to do with your pancreas & insulin levels. It's not as gross as everyone hypes it up to be!
