Omg the Charlie Horses sucked! I had to grit my teeth because they hurt so bad, and my leg would be sore for days after. I cannot stretch my legs at night because I would cramp up. I do know that stretching your toes towards you helps you stretch against the Charlie Horse, but it still hurts like hell lol
Its the worst pain ever the first time I felt it I cried it was so bad.. im gonna try my best not to get them
Thanks ladies my doc put me on calcium but it taste so awful so I don't take them.
I get leg cramps also! Hurts sooo bad but if I rub my leg/calf or just stretch my calf it goes away right away!! Good luck ladies! I feel your pain.
stretching before bed will help. banana and water are important. another good thing to increase right before bed is calcium. so make a milk and banana smoothie before bed as your evening snack. if you have frozen bananas in the freezer use them in the milk and it will be a cool banana milkshake.
I'm 29 weeks and for two nights so far I got leg cramps. Idk how to deal. Sometimes they're so bad I find my self limping. I heard you should stretch and drink plenty of water and also the bananas help.
Oh my gosh I wake up in the middle of the night crying sometimes because I couldn't move my legs because they were in so much pain from leg cramps. It's the worst feeling ever the first time I felt it I thought there was something very wrong with me. I'm 31 weeks now and haven't gotten any more leg cramps and I hope I won't ever again.
Yes TurqB1 thats exactly how I feel. I eat bananas alot so idk.. im gonna try drinking alot more water. Thank u ladies
Yeah, in my second trimester I got them mire frequently while I was sleeping. Although it increases the middle of the night potty trips, I try to drink a good amount of water before bed to stay hydrated. After doing so havent gotten them since.
I have heard that a banana before bed can help with the leg cramps due to the potassium. Leg cramps haven't really been an issue for me yet but it's more just pain in my hips after sleeping on one side too long. Now that wakes me up :( 10 weeks to go :)
Yes. I'm 31 weeks and I get them at least 4 times a week. They call the 'Charlie horses'. My calf muscle tightens up. Ugh it's the worse pain especially when it wakes you from your sleep.
