Epidural or no? Your opinions, your experiences PLEASE

Ftm and I really don't know the level of pain to expect, or how much labor pain i can actually take; I want to go natural, but just in case I cannot, I want to know what were your experiences if you did get it And for those that didn't how did you get through the pain?

Last bub I was had very long labor (36 hours) bub was prosterior and when i stopped moving labor slowed, got to the point i was so tired from being on my feet i needed to rest so had epidural, it was great, not my plan but was good that i got to rest for a while before pushing. Was turned off for the pushing part so that i could feel contractions, was up and about an hour or so after, no back pain and none since. Not really my plan to have one this time, but looks like this one might be spine to spine too so we will see.

My past 3 deliveries I did not use the epidural and the recovery was amazing. As soon as i went home i felt back to normal. I had my 4th son 2 days ago on February 3 and this time I chose to get the epidural because I was 5 cm dilated for a very long time and my contractions were 2 minutes apart so I thought i had a long time to go and this time I feel in so much pain. I can't even sleep because of the back pain. I have to keep changing positions. I cant sit up for a long time because the back pain is so bad. But i have heard everyone reacts different to epidural. Best of luck to you!
