Turning down alcohol

I just found out that I am pregnant! Woo hoo! I am wondering how you guys turn down alcohol in front of family and friends? I will be going to a big weekend wedding that will last 3 days and interested in tips how to navigate that without raising eye brows. Thanks!

Thanks! Going to do "vodka" sodas with lime since it's clear and hope no one will pay attention to me and be focused on the fun events. The last day I'm going to be the driver so have that excuse since it's a holiday weekend and need to be extra focused :) nausea is starting these last 2 days so the soda water has been a life saver.

I had my in laws down for the weekend and it was the toughest job I had to do. Especially cause I had severe nausea and fatigue. I just said that I had food poisoning and that I couldn't drink because of the antibiotics I was on. And that seemed to do the trick.

If everyone is paying that much attention to whether or not you are pregnant, someone at the party will probably ask you if you are pregnant whether or not you were drinking wine.

Thanks! Those are great options. Everyone is on baby radar because we got married almost a year ago so every odd move I make people look at me with that "hmmmm" look. I appreciate your response and will use those suggestions :)

Or, accept the glass of wine or the champagne, and clink for the toasts and raise it to your lips, but don't drink.

Say, "I'd like sparkling water, please"  to the waiter.  You don't have to make a general announcement.  People will be too busy having fun to check out what you are drinking.

If it really matters to you that someone might raise an eyebrow, you could invent a food-poisoning case that you are still getting over, or just say you are so hung over that you can't have anything but water.
