4 home tests say positive..the doctor's test was negative...

Here is my problem...According to home pregnancy tests (4 to be exact) I am pregnant and it would leave me at being 6 weeks pregnant with a due date of January 17th.  The problem I'm having is that when I went to the doctors last week (just a family practioner, as my O/B is on holidays) his test said negative. These were all just urine tests. I feel bloated, cramping but very slight..it's actually starting to go away, and i have not had my period (very unusual).  I believe I am pregnant and have to go do my bloodwork tomorrow.  The doctor told me to go with my tests and he said his weren't as reliable...?? ok i thought lol...??

I'm just hoping everything goes well as I am really excited and this baby will be my second..anyone else have this problem or know of this happening to anyone?

I also have a bicournate uterus which is my uterus being a 'heart' shape.  The doctor wants to put me as medium risk since I carried my first girl (now 4 years old) full term with no complicaitons.

I find this pregnancy is so different than the first one...and I have had so far no morning sickness as of yet....I do feel nausea sometimes but then I eat and it goes away.

I just feel more stressed with this one to go well.....thanks for listenining and please write back..I need advice or somebody to talk with..I don't know anyone pregnant right now.

I have read that some Drs. urine tests aren't as sensitive as the most sensitive HPT. I would definetely ask for a blood test, getting 4 false positives is very very rare. So I do believe you are pregnant and your Dr. is a moron.

THe exact same thing happened to me with this pregnancy.  I took 2 first response tests, got a positive on both.  The next day, my Dr.s office urine test gave me a negative.  Took two more home tests, clearblue easy this time, positive, another dr. urine test was negative.  I came to fine out that the hpt's I was using picked up HCG levels at 25.  The Dr.s weren't that sensitive, although the tech insisted they were more sensitive.  Obviously not, because I had them do bloodwork the same day they got a negative on their urine test, and sure enough..HCG was 70.  I am now 7W5D.  Don't worry, this apparantly happens alot.  Ask them to do a bloodtest.

Hi Ladies,

I do have a certain reservation about  my doctor, she has just conducted a blood and urine test but has not got reports. Accordingly she is has prescribed some mediciences for me without konowing whether i am pregnant or not. Secondly according to her sex is not safe during pregnancy........Kindly advice
