Well, I posted earlier that I was scheduled for a csection 12/29 at 9:45am...on 12/28 around 6:30pm I started having some stronger than normal contractions...we were at walmart of all places!  I still thought they were braxton hicks but they started getting stronger.  At 12:45am I took at hot shower thinking that would calm them down some.  By 1:00 I had DH up and told him we were headed to the hospital NOW!  We got there around 2:00 and they hooked me up to the monitors.  I was only about 1 1/2cm dialated.  They gave me demoral (sp?) for the pain and called my doctor.  He said to keep the same schedule and we would do it in the morning.  Around 3:30 I couldn't take it anymore and made DH go find a nurse because my contractions were 2 minutes apart and really strong.  They checked me again and I was 5cm.  She called for my epidural and my doctor was there within minutes.  If we would have waited much longer, it wouldn't have been a csection!

That few hours of labor was the worst pain of my life!  Anyone that can do it without medicine is made of stronger stuff than I am.

Jaxon was born at 6:26am, weighing in at 7lbs 8.4oz and was 18 1/2 inches long.  We got to come home last night and he is perfect!  He does think he needs to eat every two hours between midnight and 4am but then he will sleep in 4 hour (sometimes longer) stretches.

GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL!  The wait and pain is totally worth it!!!

That's awesome news. I'm glad to hear things went so well. I haven't checked yet to see if you have pics yet. If not, I look forward to seeing the little guy soon.
