Nathan Ivan born 1/8/09

I had my son it was soo fsst I didn't even get any meds or an epidural!!  I checked in at 6pm and he was born at 9:21pm.  But my butthole Dr doesn't beleive "women who vaginally deliver don't need pain meds"  Of course it was a man.  I could have kicked his ***.  I am really struggling w/ breastfeeding we are supplementing w/ formula now he doesn't want to latch and suck I am soo frustrated!!  But I am glad it is over I never want to experience nateral childbirth again!!!

Congrats!  That is wonderful news, although I am very sorry to hear that you didnt get any pain meds, I would be furious wiht the Dr., as I am sure that you are.  I dont know if you have tried this, but I had A LOT of trouble breastfeeding in the beginning, the only thing that got me through was a nipple shield, it was the only thing my baby would latch onto, she wouldnt do it w/o the shiled, they sell them at Target, dont know if that would help you at all... good luck either way!

This has been what is so exciting about following all of you and your pregnancy's.  All of those months of waiting and the fears and the concerns, culminate in the birth of your most precious babies.  It's really been fun for me, as a woman way beyond her child bearing years-to follow all of you, from those first few weeks to the birth of your babies.

If it had not been for my dear friend Super_Sally888, I would not have known about this Forum.  So for that Sally - thank you and thank you to all of you, for letting me take a personal look into your lives - while I rejoiced and yes cried with you.  More babies are to come and I will still follow the Forum through the rest of the births and the stories of the little ones.

My days of having children are now over 30 years behind me - but I will never forget my experiences of being pregnant and giving birth, for as long as I live.  Take it from a grandma ladies, you NEVER forget your pregnancy's and your birth's.  You may be able to describe the pain of childbirth, but in all reality, I believe you actually forget what it REALLY felt like.  I always tell everyone that it's like pushing a watermelon through a hole, the size of an orange.  At least that's the way I describe it to men.  You ladies certainly understand.

No matter if we get all the medications in the world during our labors or even if we have C-sections, we all give birth "naturally."  You've created a true miracle.  You are on heck of a strong and brave group of women.  I admire you all.

Now we all wait for the next group of babies to arrive.  It won't be long now.  We will be hearing about births every day now....I would think.

Congratulations " tramaddi" on the birth of your son.  I would say if you have any more babies, you better get to the hospital fast next time.  You are called a "precipitous deliverer"  meaning very quick and faster than normal.  So next baby, go to the hospital at the first contraction...LOL

What a great way to start the New Year.  New life....

Have a great week ladies..
Heather
