Pee test @ OBGYNs..

Hi Ladies
For those who had to take a pee test with their GYN's appnt..
the mailer reminder I got yesterday said that I need to take the FMU. My appnt is @ 11.30... so do I really take the FMU from 4 in the morning and store it or just take the sample just before the appnt?

What did u laides do?

Thanks Ladies. I checked with a nurse @ the other Dr's yesterday and she too said that FMU is not reqr. Wonder y they write stupid notes on appnt reminders.
I have decided to go with the latest sample instead of fmu.
Thanks again

I misunderstood the question. But you do not need fmu.

No you don't.  It says to do that just in case you are really early in your pregnancy because your hcg levels are low.   But if you don't pee for like a couple hours before the appointment it should turn out with accurate results.

i pee when i get there as well.  I have never heard of this and I have been to about 6 different OBGYNS, 5 during pregnancies.  If I were you Iwould go ahead and save the one at 4 and the when they open just call and ask if that is necessary.  Update us, i'd be curious to know.

I am with the rest. I have just peed in a cup when I got there. I figured maybe I was missing an important test that I should ask my OB about. Did you call the doc's office? If so, did they say why FMU?

I just have to pee at my ob's office when I get there.  They don't seem to care about FMU.
