I keep having brown spotting myself and even went to ER last Friday when it got too heavy for me to handle. ER dr said that he did see some blood on my cervix but did not know the cause. He told me to stay hydrated and no sex for 3 weeks (I did not have sex anyways).
I just wanted to let you know that I went to the ER a week or so ago for spotting and it turned out that it was my cervix. As soon as she touched me cervix with a q-tip it bled. She said that this is normal as the cervix is currently engorging with blood, and will bleed when anything touches it (for some people, I guess I am one of them). The ER doctor said that my cervix bleeding does not in any way endanger the baby and has no effect on anything going on in my uterus. We are already not having sex because of previous m/c's, DH is patiently waiting for trimester #2, and the doctor agreed that is probably best. I have had no spotting since then : ) I am sure it was just your cervix protesting getting prodded, I wouldnt worry much ; )
yeah it could be from sex yesterday, just take it easy. Good Luck hun.
Thanks Rachie... yes we did it yesterday but I was okie ..no cramps..nothing. If it can cause spotting.. DH will have to stay away from me for next 9 months...
I'll keep a watch and if it happens again..I'll go to an ER..
Thanks again,...
Well sweetie from what I understand brown spotting is usually old blood so that is a good thing, much better than red spotting. Had you had sex anytime right before? I had pink spotting last sunday after sex and they said it was normal. I would call the doctor on tuesday and just let them know, but if you start having any cramping or any more blood I say go to the ER and let them check everything out. Remember spotting can be caused by alot of things other than miscarriage like infections and such so try not to worry yourself too much and take it easy. Let us know if anything changes.
