New to site!

Hello everyone I am new to the site and I am eager to talk with people in a similar situation. I am 25 and very excited to be 10wks 5days with my first. I have lots to learn yet and very excited to hear what other moms to be are experiencing. I can wait to find out the sex of our baby we are really hoping for a boy; but either way a beautiful healthy baby will be perfect. I am concerned with my weight gain, I have had no morning sickness and have been way hungry with no self- control any more. I read how a lot of women lose weight in the beginning due to morning sickness; however I have gained weight and already my pants are too tight and my shirts are too short. I am hopping to meet some friends on hear and appreciate any and all advice.

Welcome to the community!

This is my first sticky pregnancy.  It's such an unknown road (to us) that we travel.  Can't wait to share the journey with everyone!  I haven't had any morning sickness either.  However, I'm considered obese to begin with so I've been happy that I haven't gained any weight . . . yet.

Every woman's body is going to be a little bit different.

Welcome and congrats on your pregnancy! I am also pregnant with my first. I am starting to show a little and usually wear my pants unbuttoned with a bellaband. You should consider yourself lucky to have not had morning sickness. I hope it continues that way for you. I have read that the weight gain sometimes comes in spurts, so maybe you'll have more now, then slack off a bit?

Welcome! I'm also pregnant with my first, at 12 weeks. If you don't have any morning sickness then its common to gain weight right away, i was not so lucky and my morning sickness is just easing off.  And not worry about your pants not already fitting, mine havent fit right since i was about 8 weeks! and i lost about 2 pounds the last 2 months and none of my pants fit at all! if you want to put off buying maternity pants for a while, you can buy a thing called a bella band or belly band, i found one at target for about 18 bucks and u wear it over your pants, unbuttoned, and it holds them up while not showing they are unbuttoned and it just looks like an undershirt if the shirt isnt as far down as it needs to go. its a lifesaver! i havent had to buy new pants yet!

Welcome! I'm sure you will learn a lot here as we are all going through the same thing! I too gained lots of weight straight away with my first two children because I never had any morning sickness and was always hungry! I easily lost it after having them, which I'm sure you will too. It's the only time we have an excuse to eat whatever we like (as long as it's mostly healthy!) so don't deprive yourself!! :)
