Swelling

It's been a crazy week for me. A family member dies on Friday and I have had to do more traveling than I should. I'm finally back home after a very emotional and exhausting few days.

My hands have been slightly swollen for a couple of weeks. My concern now is my legs. From about knee down they are swollen. I just took my socks off and I can see the texture of the socks. I can also push into the swelling and my fingerprint stays. My blood pressure has been normal the whole pregnancy. I just thought it was strange that I am swelling now at 35 weeks. It's uncomfortable too.

I guess I'm officially a whining pregnant lady. :)

Anybody else feel like the Hindenburg?

Sorry to hear about the death of one of your family members.  Sounds like you've been very busy and on your feet a lot, probably contributing to the swelling.  It's also quite common in late pregnancy.  Once you put your feet up and rest it should start to ease a little.  Like Shayne said as long as your blood pressure is normal and there's no protein in your urine, you should be fine.  But if you're at all worried mention it to your Dr.

Ps. You're not alone in the whinging department, I've been doing a lot of it lately too!!

I've been swelling too, mainly when im on my feet alot that day, I'm the same as you though, normal blood pressure at last appt. I asked my OB about it and she says since my blood pressure is normal and theres no protein in my urine not to worry, its most likely from the extra weight on our legs. I'd say for me atleast thats what it most likely is, since i've gained almost 40 lbs at 37 weeks!

I'm positive that were all definitely entitled to be whiny pregnant ladies at this point. I havent been sleeping well and either has DS, i got 4 hours of sleep last night, and now he's napping and while i should be too, nesting has started and i'm going crazy washing the rest of Faith's stuff and setting up her bassinet. I seriously doubt i will be having a january baby lol
