Announcing the big news this week...

So I'm 14 weeks now. I have my second OB appointment tomorrow morning. As long as everything goes OK tomorrow, I plan on announcing the news this week. I've told most of my close friends and family already, so it's just everyone else.
I'm planning on telling my boss on Wednesday over lunch after my quarterly review. And I'm gonna tell my daughter tomorrow night (she's 8).
I ordered a giant fortune cookie dipped in chocolate with pink and blue sprinkles. The fortune inside the cookie tells her that she's going to have a baby brother or sister. I think we are going to go to a Chinese restaurant and I'll have the waitress bring over the cookie at the end of the meal! Can't wait!
I've had several miscarriages over the last few years so finally getting to the point where I'm telling people seems so crazy to me!
Anyone have any interesting way of sharing the news or stories on how people reacted to  the news.

aribear624:  I find out on August 10th as well! I can't wait!
We are gonna do a gender cake and have family and friends over for a cookout or something casual.

I was gonna tell my boss today at lunch but I chickened out! He was talking about starting me on a new project so I just want to get that underway and then I'll tell him. Hopefully by the time I'm 20 weeks!! I don't know how long I'll be able to hide it.

Our immediate families and a few close friends knew from the beginning, but we told everyone else around the 13 week mark (so about 2 weeks ago). I had an NT scan during my 12th week and got pictures from the ultrasound. Since we are due around the New Year, we sent an email with the picture with the message "we have our plans for New Year's, what is everyone else doing?" It was simple but everyone really seemed to like it :).

We find out the gender on August 10. For those at work, my co-workers want to guess before the big reveal. After the guesses, I will have to pick a pink- or blue-frosted cupcake.

For those outside work, I am probably going to send a "team pink" or "team blue" email, unless I can come up with something more creative :)

Congrats on marking the second trimester :-) I will hopefully begin this Friday.

We decided not to tell others (our immediate family and some very close friends know) and wait until people notice it. So I'm guessing I will start to show in few more weeks. We told alot of people with the first pregnancy, but I have been spotting alot that we will just take this as they go.

What about the sex? Do you all what to find out? Will you guys tell everyone if you do? I'm unsure, we may just tell our immediate families and that's all. I definately want to at least wait until we get the 3D ultrasound done, which  is peformed in Germany at approximately week 20-23, just to make sure that all the three U/S (I have two at 15 and 19 week) until then provide us with the same gender results!
