I had my first scan at 5 weeks-5 days and I saw one heart flutter- we saw 2 fetal poles and yold sacs though.  At 7 weeks and 4 days we saw both heartbeats.  They are identical bc they are in the same amnio sac.   I go to my regular obgyn next Thursday and hope to have a scan then!  Wishing you all the best!!!!!!!!!!!

congrats on the twins....i seriously laughed the entire u/s when i found out i was having twins....i also was 8 weeks along so we were able to see the babies that looked like gummy bears....it was amazing

my twins were measuring a day behind my LMP which is ok because as you said they are sometimes smaller because there are 2 of them

so are you having identical twins? are they in seperate sacs? i am due jan 1 but with twins i will most likely have them beginning of dec

congrats on the twins....it is so excited and 2 weeks after the u/s i am still in shock :)

first u/s was yesterday june 2, and we found out were having twins! Natural twins, no fertility drugs were used- they run on my moms side, but never imagined I would have twins, but so excited/terrified as I had a m/c a year ago and the innocents of pregnancy is gone. Glad Ill be going back every 2weeks for close monitoring and u/s to see the babies progress....were more excited than scared....Hoping I can keep these babies in til' Jan to increase their size and strength. :) Heres to happy healthy babies in 2012!
We saw one of the twins very well, heartbeat was present but Im measuring 6w2d so the docot said you may have just gotten preg after you thought, or the fact that twins can measure smaller as they have to share space. The second baby was turned kinda funny so we couldnt see a heart beat, but it had a yokSack and the doctor said it was a very good size and thickness to it, so im feeling ok with it all ...... :)

I had an ultrasound last Thursday at 7 weeks 2 days. Everything measured perfectly and I saw the heartbeat, it was 143.
I'd like to g for one more ultrasound to ease my mind but I don't want the Dr's office thinking I'm crazy! I know they will do one if I call them though.
I have my first prenatal on June 14th. Hopefully by that point they can hear the heartbeat with a doppler.

I had my first u/s today at 5 weeks 5 days and the doctor found the sac but could not find the fetal pole so he believes this pregnancy is not viable. They did a blood test which I won't find the results until tomorrow and I am scheduled for another u/s next week but the doctor seems pretty sure that I will miscarry. I am obviously devasted and kind of hoping that he is wrong. It looks like I may have to leave this Jan 2012 babies forum.

My first ultrasound was at exactly 6w and I did get to see the HB. It was going at about 114 BPM at that point. I have my next appointment next week and I will be 10w3d, but not sure if I will have another ultrasound or not.

My first ultrasound was at 5w1d and there was no heartbeat yet, just to confirm the pregnancy. I had an ultrasound last Friday, so on 7w1d and we could see the heartbeat. Was very relieved as I have been cramping.

I've had my first U/S early at 5 weeks 4 days because I was having right sided pain. They saw a gestational sac and yolk sac, but no heartbeat yet. They said it was too early. Keeping my fingers crossed that we'll see it next time!!

I had two sonogram so far and I'm 7w3d.  The first sono was done when i was 6w2d and the second was done at 7w.  The 6w one they saw the baby and the heartbeat right away and felt confident that everything was great the heartbeat was 120.  At 7w the baby was in a weird position and it took alot longer which made me nervous in the process cause it was so easy the first time, but theys till found the heartbeat and it was 118 that day.  So yes, they did.  :)
