Doulas?

Any ftm checking into getting a doula? Also any btdt moms have a doula during prior l&d and care to share their experience? Thanks!

I had a doula at mine (not because I wanted one, she happened to be on L&D when I was having my son, and she was filling in for a nurse) she was very helpful when the contractions were bad, but she'd get right in my face and tell me to breathe, and hold my head, and really pushed DH aside, and it got really annoying, I'm sure they're not ALL like that, but I didn't like my unwanted doula, haha, I would ask lots of questions, like what she'd be doing while I was in labor, etc, just to see what it's about.
