My labour story

Hey.. so in a little late updating however Im sure all you new mums understand how it is :)
This is very long FYI!

Was induced at 10am on 16th Jan however I was already 2cm dialated so they just gave me the tampon thingy that fell out after 6hours when I went to the loo!. Because labour had started they descided to leave me as I was and let it progress naturally. the pain was so intense, that at 03am on 17th the doctors told me to take some Diamorphine to get some rest. I compleatly regret it made it seem as if time stand still for the next 24hours, i was contracting every 3mins stronger but no closer the whole day. They eventually agreed to break my waters however there was no delivery suite avaliable
That night (17th) must have been insanly busy as no matter what I did I couldnt get a midwife to come to my bed! I started to bleed, the gas stoped working, my BP was through the roof, and yet the staff were no where to be found!Naturally this upset my partner (which means he got pi**ed off) so I endes up sending him home for a few hours to sleep and my mum stayed with me.
I can honestly say it was the worst experience of my life to be in the inducing suite for 2days in pain with no indication that the baby was coming soon.
I had a high risk pregnancy due to my BP being high, plus baby was very big, hence why I was induced anyway, but this didnt seem to make a difference!  His heart beat was flucuating, I was scared and tired and it seemed like the staff were just lying theough their teeth about what was happening. I eventually tried to discharge myself, as I knew with how close and consistant my contractions were, that they would admit me from the street into the delivwry ward anyway!
Eventually at 6am on 18th after talking to the lady in charge that morning, she suddently realised her staff were useless and hadnt checked my dialation since the night of 16th. She checked me and I was 5cm dialated.
Suprise suprise, theh suddenly found a room for me.
I was moved to delivery at 7am, got my epidral, and then the fun started
A long day with lots of pain, waters broken at 17:00 at 9cm dialated. started to push just after 18.00. For what ever reason after half hour a doctor told me to stop for 1hour however by this point my body couldnt, so I was basicly forced to hold it mentally - the most painful part of the whole process!! I was moved to delivery at 7am, got my epidral, and then the fun started
A long day with lots of pain, waters broken at 17:00 at 8cm dialated. started to push just after 18.00. For what ever reason after half hour a doctor told me to stop for 1hour however by this point my body couldnt, so I was basicly forced to hold it mentally - the most painful part of the whole process!! By 9.30 my BP was theough the roof, i hadnt slept for 38hours, baby was starting to stress and it became ovbious that I couldnt do it alone.
Im not sure what happened but suddently my midwife dissapeared, and the room filled with people. An untrasound later, they realised baby wasnt coming because his head was turned at a bad angle. I was offered either assisted with forceps for C Sec. I wasnt able to  clearly answer as was contractong continously however I had discussed with my partner and he made it clear I wanted a natural birth. A whole bunch of people saying thing and asking stupid questions later, i was taken to a theater where they told me they would allow me to try to push through 2 contractions, 3times each. If he dodnt come they would proceed to C Sec.
It was the scariest experience every, my partner wasnt alowd in to start with so I literly had 1 lady there just squeezing my had to keep me concious until he came.
Things went very fast, i had no idea qhat was going on but all I know is there was 15px in the room talkng away but I was just concious my partener wasnt there!
I pushed 8times (yep they alowd more than origionaly agreed) and baby was here!
22.06 on 18th Jan. Weighing 10.5lb (4.55kg)
I then spent the next 2days in hospital aswell having no idea what was happening and why I was there. I just kept getting brushed off and told "someone will come to talk to you"
It wasnt until the doctor came to discharge me on the 20th, that I found out I had lost 1.5liters of blood and they were keeping me under observation.
Got to love the NHS. I wouldnseriously recomend anyone in the UK, use a birthing center or private hospital, as the major hospitals cannot handle the strain!

By rant aside, my son is absolutly georgus! Hes a spitting image of my partner as a baby! Hes super long so we can already tell hes going to be tall like his daddy!

At 2weeks old, were just getting him into a routine where hes starting to sleep a little at night, and starting to see his cheeky personality!

A mothers love really is instantanious!

Your story is insane I can't believe that a first world country would treat a woman in labor that way!!!
I am so glad you made it through with a healthy and beautiful baby.
